On Thanksgiving Day:

Spending quality time with family in the morning in preparing lots of food together for our thanksgiving lunch, we had wonderful time working and shouting together, much excitement and rejoice.

Visiting a friend and her family in Leesburg, who is the daughter of my mother-in-law’s cousin, in late afternoon for dinner, we had great time enjoying the delicious food and listening to the cousins talking about their good old days: some good time and not so good time during the wars back in the village in China. Life is like that we live to learn and learn to live and survive; we tend to learn more through difficult times than good times and we learn more surviving skills; we will not appreciate life as much as until we have been through some difficult time.

We also got the chance to meet the youngest daughter of my mother-in-law’s cousin and her family who also came to visit her sister from NY. I have lots of fun watching her play Crazy 8 with her nieces who are friendly and funny.

Sometimes we tend to forget to give thanks when we have too much good things. I try to remind myself and others to remember to do that, good or bad, to be thankful.
