Wed Jan 21 Lunar New Year Eve Soup dumplings, feast ceremony, some more cleaning ritual before new year day and family time.
Bless my mother-in-law's heart that she has lots of festival mood and energy. Early in the morning she had already used the prepared pastries to give thanks to the heaven and the earth and to honor our ancestors. She had also prepared chicken, meat, and vegetables for cooking the feast to honor our ancestors later today. We had soup dumpling for lunch. My husband and older son were home to share the celebration.
My younger daughter joined us after work but younger son had meeting for the national guard and older daughter had more work to take care. Even though they were not with us but they are always close in our hearts.
We had good time chatting about things and people with the world and different perspectives in life. We had a lovely evening.
May the coming year be even better than this year.
