Farewell to Love Ones
Saying farewell to the love ones is always difficult for me, but knowing God and trusting in Him makes me feel the inner peace. I feel joy at the same time because I know whereever they may go there will be more life learning experience and more excitement for them. Just let the light shines! "For those who have, more will be given; and from those who do not have, even what they seem to have will be taken away." Luke 8:18
Past weekend, I have to say farewell to two persons.
One is my younger son who has been with US Army National Guard for six years and got deployed to Afghanistan for next twelve months. Since February he has been called in from being a Physics Teacher to a fulltime active duty in army for training to prepare for this deployment. Listening to him talk, we know that he has gained much life experience being a fulltime officer these few months; he learns how to be loyal to his troops by caring for them, helping them to grow in their training and trying to get them promoted even knowing the chance is small. He continues to work hard himself and lead by example. May God watch over him and all the troops out there serving the mankind for freedom.
Another person I had to say farewell is my husband's nephew who has stayed in our home for eight weeks while interning in DC. It's been a joy having him with us. We got chances to discus bible scriptures related important issues dealing with people in our daily life. By staying with us, he has brought reunion of his father and my husband who are first cousins and had not have that kind of binding since college. I also got a chance to bind with his mom. It's amazing when we are talking about that everything happens for a reason.
May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Roman 15:13
