NJ trip and NY trip combined on Friday and Saturday
First stop at Philidephia for lunch, then to the youngest sister-in-law's house, they got some new furnitures, two new reclined chairs set up face the TV and the long sofa against the sliding door. The setting is very comfortable and the sitting room looks bigger. We chatted for a while, then we visited the second sister-in-law and her husband. They gave me some daily bible proverbs booklets with chinese and english pages side by side, pretty convenient. I can learn more God's word. We talked about different exercise to strengthen our knees and legs. We had good time chatting. Then we left to Brooklyn Chinatown shopping and grabbed some dinner. We decided going to my third aunt's place first, then other aunt Kim, and to my brother's house last; that way we will cover every place in one day. It turned out just right. We also got to see my cousin and family at my third aunt's house, and we had good time chatting , especially my husband with nephew who is planning for colleges, one of them is my husband's university. My husband gave him alot of valuable advice. Anyway, when we got to my brother's house was about 10 o'clock. Grand-nephew was still up and he got to taste the pumpkin bread before he went to bed. He enjoyed eating it very much. We chatted until almost 2 o'clock with brothers and sister-in-law.
Brother's wife roasted turkey early on Saturday morning, made special chinese sausage stuffings and mashed potato/ potato salad so we can have lunch before heading back home, neice also baked a very tasty Ziti dish. Everything's so delicious. We are very thankful for that.
We stopped by the Chinese bakery in NY Chinatown and got some custard tarts to bring to a friend's birthday party back in Virginia tonight. Two dozen just came out from oven and I took them all. We were late to the party but we had good times to meet and chat with friend's friends and family. We were exhausted but it's fun. It's time for bed.
