"Valentine's Day" speech
How many of us are concerned about what gifts to give to our love ones on Valentine's Day? There are people stressed out over certain holidays and Valentine's Day is one of them. "What should I do for my valentine?" or "What would my valentine do for me?" There are people trying very hard to go the extra mile pleasing their love ones. There are some people getting disappointed because they have set their expectation too high. That becomes an unpleasant situation. If people love someone, what is the most precious gift?
One way to avoid the unpleasant situation is to share some time with our love ones. Doing that, we will feel connected. I am sure we will all agree that this is a good start. Another way is to share thoughts with each other while we are spending time together. This will then provide us some mutual understanding and support. Then, we can encourage and praise one another for our thoughtful ideas. You will be surprised how such a simple act will make the expectation clear and stress free.I believe the most precious gift we can have is the ability to express our thoughts to our love ones and hopefully, in turn, our love ones can share their thoughts as well.
Let me tell you a story. It's one of my memorable days. I called this day my valentine's day, although it's not really Valentine's Day. This young man purchased two Broadway Show tickets and showed up at the front door of his new girl friend's house. At the time she was not pleased by his surprised appearance because she was swamped with work and study. However he knew that the show would be good for her because she would be refreshed and relaxed and she would be more focus on her study after watching the show. This young man was determined. He would not take a "NO" for answer. With his patience and compassion, he softened this young lady's heart so that she went to the Broadway Show with him. They both enjoyed the show very much and more importantly they cared for each other and shared the time together. My point is that we do not have to wait for Valentine's Day to do something special for our love ones. We can make everyday special.
What gift is more precious than spending time with one another? I believe finding each other and having each other is the most precious gift, sharing thoughts and encouraging one another to extend our growth. We should treasure each moment that we spend together and make everyday a special day. We can make today our Valentine's Day because we are here having each other, sharing each other's thoughts and giving each other encouragements in developing and improving our communication skills.Happy Valentine's Day!

Wouldn't take no for an answer? Knew your schedule better than you did and what would help you get your work done on time?
Surprising someone and making demands of their time without consideration for their responsibilities is not showing patience and compassion. What kind of lesson are you trying to teach here?

Thank you for correcting my grammar. Yes, this young man waited patiently and convinced this stressful girl to take a break with compassion. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed with our work and don't find time to take a break. Only if we can take a deep breath and take a break, we may gain positive energy and get things done a lot faster. This girl could have rejected the young man who meant well and then she felt guilty all afternoon; hindered with the negative energy, she might not get her work done at all. Instead, she felt energized by taking the break to watch the show with her friend and still finished her work well and on time. Because of that their relationship was developed to the next level that has lasted for lifetime. What I try to say is that sometimes we have to let go a little and amazing thing may happen because life is amazing!
Couldn't you tell? The young lady is your mother and the young man is your father...
He wouldn't take no for an answer because he was destined to marry her.

Yes, I could tell. That was abundantly obvious. My point is that someone doing that today would be a stalker and harassing her and she was encouraging the behavior by rewarding it with falling to peer pressure. That is the kind of lesson you're trying to teach?
