After Speechcraft class, it's the Lunar New Year Party of Lee's Association
This afternoon I used the ice breaker speech which I presented in theBTM Club. Except I took the advice from my evaluator; I changed it to a stronger opening. I also tried to use the third person for me in the story. I think I am more comfortable with the first person. It's more personal. In the future, I will switch back to the first person and have a stronger message in the conclusion. I might try that in my competition speech.
In the party, there were many speeches made by all the leaders from the different associations. We thought we were late to the party because the class ended late again, but we were there way before the first speech. Then there was dragon dance, kareoke singing and lots of door prizes drawings. We had a winner at our table. Of course, there were lots of good food and good company. We met some new friends and had a lot of fun. Thankful for my friend inviting us .
