Visited sister-in-law in the morning and Watched movie with daughter in the afternoon
Daughter invited us to watch the movie "Sars City" in her house. It was nice, kind of comedy and a little drama. I was touched in some points. One young man made the best out the worst situation, playing with the young kids, entertaining the elderly and encouraging a newly met friend who felt lost without her boyfriend. He said, "If you can choose to live happily or sadly, just like two sides of the coin, what would you choose? I will choose to live happily." That's how he lived through the worst situation and lift up the spirit of everyone else. The doctors and nurses sacrificed their safety to help the patients. Some were reluctant and some were gracious because they knew that's their calling for being in the medical field. When disaster happened like sars, some people may show the best of their heart and some may show the worst of their heart. What set them apart? I believe one is selfless by knowing that life in this earth is only temporary, but the other one is selfish by knowing that only this life in earth is essential.
Other reading notes:
To meet life as it comes to us with courage, and love for the situations no matter their character, to serve for the good in that particular situation may bring discomfort and yes, even suffering. To take this on willingly is to raise our consciousness to a Higher Self and bring a death to "self". Living a life dedicated to this level of consciousness is not easy.
Continuing with love conquers all in dying to self and living for others.
Suffering is not good, but God can bring good from it!
