Children and friend came to visit and join us for lunch and we had a good time chatting. Since older son and his wife could not join us for lunch, everyone tried to find a day and time when everyone can meet together for the next regular meeting because soon “junior” will arrive and all would like each other to be part of the family and able to see each other regularly. That’s a great idea!!! When older son and daughter-in-law arrived and joined us for dinner, the others had already left for other activities. We shared the idea with them, but we have yet come up with the day. It was snowing so they didn’t stay long. They went home before the road got worse and called us to say that they got home safely. We are thankful for their thoughtfulness.

Today’s sermon is on “Find rest in God alone”.
In our life we have so many things to fear such flood, earthquake, tornado, hurricane, drought, unemployed, illness, and death and so on. When we face difficulties in life, we look up to God who can conquer all. Trusting God gives us hope and conquers all things. For example, no matter how hard or careful parents try to protect their children, they will face illness. It’s only God’s grace can protect us and have mercy on us that we can conquer all fears.

Today’s quote: “Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him for God is our refuge.” Psalm 62:7
