A friend called me around 6:30 this morning but I was out walking. Husband told her to call back in an hour so she did because she worried I may be gone again visiting neighbors. She thought I must gain a lot weight during the holiday so that I needed the workout this morning. She didn't realize that early morning walking/jogging/or running is my daily ritual when I am not lazy. She is also an early bird and likes to workout in the gym but I like outdoor exercise because the nature seems smiling at me always.
One of the reasons my friend called this morning was that she wanted to visit the community center. She wondered if husband and I were going today. After the morning bible studying with another friend, husband and I went to pick up this friend and heading to the center. Even though our classes have not started yet, we can always find friends there practicing dance or taichi on their own and helping each other to get better. This friend also liked the exercise equipment and did another half hour workout while waiting for the person to help her registration for some classes. She is interested in yoga class and taichi class. After she signed up, we practiced a little bit taichi. On our way home, we also did some shopping.
After that we came home finding our son visiting us. We had dinner together and had nice chat. I told him how my new learning method for Spanish is to use small step: learn 10 daily used simple words each day. He might try that for learning to speak Cantonese, but he said the only disadvantage he has is he doesn't read chinese character. I guess he can use cassette tape learning by listening. If there is a will, there ia always a way. Make it a fun day!
