Jan 25, 2007 Thursday
Husband and I went to pick up sister-in-law this morning. Mother-in-law was very pleased to see her. We had a good time chatting and peeling the skin of ginger roots. First, we rinsed them and dried them before peeling. Second, we rinsed them again, smashed them slightly and cut them into smaller pieces before sautéing. After that I put them in the big tall clay pots and covered them with dark rice vinegar and brought them to boil, then simmed for an hour. In between the processes, we took a break for lunch: beef and vegetable soup that husband prepared this morning and noodles. We appreciated husband’s thoughtfulness. Our team working efficiently got everything done around two. I am thankful for the helping hands of mother-in-law as well as sister-in-law. We loved the bonding time.
Today’s quote:
"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." Ephesians 4:2
